b
The Water Authority's infrastructure, data network and phone systems are currently shared with the City of Albuquerque as part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which is renewed on an annual basis.  It is the intent of the Water Authority to build its own proprietary network and phone system that is owned and maintained by the Water Authority.

Water Authority Information Systems Department is recommending implementation and management of a data network and phone system in a phased approach.  Phase I is the installation of a phone system and related data network items for all downtown offices and the Customer Call Center locations.  Phase I implementation cost is approximately $200,000.  Capital Improvement Project (CIP) funds for phase I will come out of Fiscal Year 2013 budgeted funding Phase II will consist of all remaining locations for installation of the new phone system and related data network items.  Estimated costs for Phase II are $600,000.  Fiscal Year 2015 and 2016 CIP funds will be utilized to complete the data network and phone system build out.  Managed services will be necessary after implementation to support the new infrastructure and systems.  This is estimated to be $200,000/per year.

As the Water Authority continues to rely heavily on cloud or hosts based solutions, and continues to utilize mobile devices for increased efficiency's, it is imperative to have a robust, highly efficient data/phone network.

Presidio Network Solutions Inc. (INX LLC) is the current managed serviced provider for limited telephony and data network systems services.  Presidio's knowledge, expertise, continuity and familiarity with the Water Authority environment will streamline the conversion process.  Presidio has several state contracts, which will be utilized as part of this endeavor.  State Contract # 40-361-13-01744, which is applicable to the telephony and data professional services, and State Contract # 30-805-13-10074, which is for applicable software services needed for the customer call center.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost of this proposed agreement is approximately $1,200,000.00
Phase I          $200,000.00
Phase II                                             $600,000.00
Yearly Managed services/2 years                           $400,000.00
