Approval of Contract with United States Department of Interior Bureau of Reclamation for Water Storage in Elephant Butte Reservoir

Requesting an increase to the purchase order (PO) with United States Department of Interior Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) for Water Storage in Elephant Butte Reservoir.
If approved by the Board, an amended PO will be issued by the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority to enable USBR to continue to provide Water Storage in Elephant Butte Reservoir. Additionally, the agreement is to construct, operate and maintain a ten-inch diameter waterline, on the lands of Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge (Refuge), Bernalillo County, New Mexico, by the Water Authority for potable water, public health and safety purposes.
Approval of this item shall also serve as delegation of authority for the Executive Director to approve all future amendments to this contract, if any.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The funding is expected to exceed the $500K threshold.
