Approval of Contract with RMCI, Inc. as a result of B2020000003 Rotary Drum Thickener Facility Construction

The Water Authority issued a Request for Bids (RFB) for Construction to solicit bids from vendors qualified to provide construction services for the Rotary Drum Thickener Facility at the Southside Water Reclamation Plant (SWRP), which will replace obsolete/failing DAF thickener units. This approval would allow RMCI, Inc. to construct the new facility.
The RFB was advertised in the local newspaper, available for download on the Water Authority’s eProcurement website, BidSync, and through Albuquerque Reprographics. Bids were opened for the above-referenced project on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. The bids were reviewed and evaluated by the Water Authority and Carollo Engineers.
Following the review and evaluation, the apparent low responsive and responsible bidder is RMCI, Inc. for this project. The Water Authority staff recommends an Agreement for this work be awarded to RMCI. A summary of the bids received is attached.
This approval is intended to delegate signature authority to the Executive Director to enter into an Agreement with RMCI, approve any change orders or amendments to the Agreement as necessary to complete the project and to provide construction phase services for this project based on the results of the RFB, B2020000003.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this project is provided in the FY20 CIP Budget.
