Approving Increase to Aquila Inc. Purchase Order

Aquila Inc., an Albuquerque based technology firm, is redesigning the Water Authority’s Public Website and building out a new Customer Portal. This includes integration with Bill Presentment and Payment, Ebill express (payments) and HomeConnect’s water usage and notifications system. This also includes 300+ static content pages and data capture forms which are captured and passed through Sharepoint. The Water Authority’s current website is currently utilizing old antiquated technology that will no longer be supported after December 31, 2020.
This product was procured pursuant to the authority contained in section 9(a)(5) of the Rules Governing Procurement for The Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority. Resolution R-18-14 requires board approval for any purchase in an amount exceeding $500,000.
If approved by the Board, the purchase order will be adjusted to include the increased contract cap. Approval of this item shall also serve as delegation of authority for the Executive Director to approve all future amendments to this contract, if any.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Water Authority has budgeted funds to cover this agreement.
