Authorizing the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority to Submit an Application for Funding for the BIL Lead Service Line Replacement

WHEREAS, the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority (Water Authority) is seeking funding through the Drinking Water Bureau (DWB) for the Lead Service Line Replacement; and
WHEREAS, the Lead Service Line Replacement Project will allow the Water Authority to comply with the Federal Lead and Copper Rule Revision; and
WHEREAS, the funding request will aid the Water Authority in recognizing lead lines and develop a replacement plan.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE WATER AUTHORITY:
Section 1. That an application for funding from the DWB for the Lead Service Line Replacement Project, be submitted to the Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund.
Section 2. That the Executive Director shall have the authority to enter into an agreement associated with the financial assistance.
Section 3. That the Executive Director will work with the Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund to meet established deadlines for entering into a cooperative agreement.
