Approving and Authorizing a New Mexico Environment Department Appropriation to Plan, Design, Construct and Expand Water and Wastewater Systems

WHEREAS, the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority ("Water Authority") has been awarded funding from the New Mexico Environment Department for the South Valley Water and Wastewater System Improvements Project; and
WHEREAS, the Water Authority is required to enter into Grant Agreement No. SAP 26-K2392-GF with the New Mexico Environment Department in order to receive and expend the grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds will support the planning, design, construction, and expansion of water and wastewater infrastructure improvements benefiting the South Valley service area.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE WATER AUTHORITY:
Section 1. The Executive Director is authorized to sign the SAP 26‐K2392‐GF Grant Agreement for this project and act as the point of contact concerning all matters related to this Agreement.
Section 2. The Executive Director is the OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE who is authorized to sign reimbursement requests and any and all other documents requiring a signature for submittal to the New Mexico Environment Department.
Section 3. The budget adjustment for the South Valley Water and Wastewater system improvements is made and appropriated as follows:
State Capital Outlay Projects (Expense) 1,125,000
State Grants (Revenue) 1,125,000
