Approving Increase to Purchase Order Cap with Wagner Equipment for Generator Rental Services
b
The Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority (Water Authority) SWRP North Cogeneration Facility required a rented generator at the SWRP South Blower Building to enable the plant to meet its Nitrogen Removal permit requirements. The Water Authority issued a purchase order to Wagner Equipment for a rental generator for this period of vulnerability. The Water authority subsequently issued B2020000005, a Request for Bids (RFB), to select a permanent generator solution. Smith Power was awarded a purchase order pursuant to this solicitation, and this award was previously approved by the Board.
The Water Authority’s Centralized Engineering Department is recommending additional funding to be added to the price agreement cap to allow for continued purchase of rental services from Wagner Equipment through the time the permanent generator solution from Smith is fully equipped.
Resolution R-18-14 requires board approval for any purchase in an amount exceeding $500,000.
If approved by the Board, the contract will be adjusted to include the increased contract cap. Approval of this item shall also serve as delegation of authority for the Executive Director to approve all future amendments to this contract, if any.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Water Authority has budgeted funds to cover this agreement.
