Recommendation of Award, RFQ On-Call Construction Services 2015-2 General Building Construction Project No. 00897

The Water Authority solicited proposals to create a vendor pool of pre-qualified contractors to provide On-Call General Building Construction Services. Contractors will perform general building construction services as well as minor capital building construction and remodel projects on an "as needed basis". Work includes: Casework/Carpentry; Glass/Glazing; Construction Clean-Up; Landscaping; Demolition; Painters; Door Hardware/Specialties; Electrical; Alarms/Fire; Plumbing/HVAC/ Mechanical; Flooring; Ceilings; Roofing; Walls; Signage; Stucco/Exterior Finishes; Exterior flatwork and ramps; Parking lot improvements.
The RFQ was posted on the Water Authority's website and advertised in the local newspaper. Five responses were received, one was deemed non-responsive. Four responses were evaluated.
The six responses were reviewed, evaluated and scored by an ad hoc committee consisting of John M. Stomp III, P.E. Chief Operating Officer, Anthony L. Montoya, Jr. P.E., Chief Engineer, Robert W. Strong, P.E., Principal Engineer, John Ertsgaard, P.E., Principal Engineer, and Kris Johnson, P.E., Senior Engineer.
The ad hoc committee recommends award of contracts to the following four evaluated offerors: Facility Build, SDV Construction, Vigil Contracting, and Before Daylite.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The funding to support this contract is appropriated for Fiscal Year 2015.
