The Water Authority solicited proposals to create a vendor pool of pre-qualified contractors to provide On-Call Electrical Services. Contractors will provide electrical maintenance services including, but not limited to, furnishing labor and materials necessary to repair electrical malfunction or to install new electrical equipment or modify existing electrical equipment, installing wires, conduits, apparatus, fixtures or other appliance for carrying or using electricity for light, heat, cooling, process equipment or power purposes to maintain the affected facility as requested by Water Authority during normal business or after normal working hours and emergencies.
The RFP was posted on the Water Authority's website and advertised in the local newspaper. Ten (10) responses were received.
The ten responses were reviewed, evaluated and scored by an ad hoc committee consisting of Anthony L. Montoya, Jr. P.E., Chief Engineer, Robert W. Strong, P.E., Principal Engineer, Phil Morris, P.E., Principal Engineer, Bob Sidhu, P.E., Senior Engineer, and Kris Johnson, P.E., Senior Engineer.
The ad hoc committee recommends award of contracts to the following five evaluated offerors: B&D, US Electric, SDV, Enterprise, and McDade Woodcock.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The funding to support this contract is appropriated for Fiscal Year 2015.
