Amendment to the Approved Capital Implementation Program of the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority for the Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2022 to Include American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Recovery Funds

WHEREAS, the Capital Implementation Program is governed by the requirements established under Section 2-1-8, 2006, which provides for amendments to the approved program; and
WHEREAS, appropriations for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2022 that were previously approved under R-21-8 and R-21-9 require an amendment to add funding towards the planning, design, and construction of new and rehabilitated water, sewer, and reuse infrastructure utilizing American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) award funding under a subrecipient agreement with Bernalillo County.
WHEREAS, the Water Authority acknowledges the need for necessary investments to: build, rehabilitate, and improve water and sewer initiatives within the county; improve access to clean drinking water; and, support vital wastewater and stormwater infrastructure.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE WATER AUTHORITY:
Section 1. That the adjustments for the County ARPA projects as stated below are hereby made.

Section 2. That the Executive Director is authorized to negotiate and enter into subsequent agreements and amendments with Bernalillo County regarding ARPA funding and to take any other action necessary to carry out the directives of this resolution.
