Approval of Contract with Insituform Technologies LLC as a result of B2022000003 Fortuna/Avalon Interceptor Rehab Construction, Project No. 02654.00

b

The Water Authority issued a Request for Bids (RFB) for Construction to solicit bids from vendors qualified to provide construction services for the Fortuna/Avalon Interceptor Rehab project, which consists of rehabilitating 5,044 linear feet of 48-inch RCP and associated manholes on the Westside Interceptor Pipeline in Fortuna Road between 64th Street and 58th Street (including under Coors Boulevard) and along

58th Street from Fortuna Road to Avalon Road.

The RFB was advertised in the local newspaper, available for download on the Water Authority’s eProcurement website, BidSync, and through Albuquerque Reprographics. Bids were opened for the above-referenced project on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. The bid received was reviewed and evaluated by the Water Authority and CDM Smith.

Following the review and evaluation, the apparent low responsive and responsible bidder is Insituform, for this project. Insituform was the only bid received. The Water Authority staff recommends an Agreement for this work be awarded to Insituform. A summary of the bid received is attached.

This approval is intended to delegate signature authority to the Executive Director to enter into an Agreement with Insituform, approve any change orders or amendments to the Agreement as necessary to complete the project and to provide construction phase services for this project based on the results of the RFB, B2022000003.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Funding for this project is provided in the FY22 CIP Budget.
