Approval of Two Vendors for Tires and Tire Services

The Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority (Water Authority) issued the Request for Proposals (RFP) P2022000011, Tire and Tire Services Repairs to solicit proposals from qualified vendors to provide automotive and heavy equipment tires and tire services for the Water Authority.
The RFP was posted on the BidSync website and advertised in the local newspaper. Three responsive offers were received and submitted for evaluation. The Ad Hoc Committee reviewed, evaluated, and scored the responses in accordance with the evaluation criteria published in the RFP.
Based on the recommendation of the Ad Hoc Committee, the Executive Director recommends the award of a contract to Southern Tire Mart, and Bill Williams as these Contractors had the highest composite scores, are qualified to perform the work, and meet the requirements of the RFP.
Approval of this item will delegate signature authority to the Water Authority to enter into a contract with Southern Tire Mart, and Bill Williams to perform as needed repairs, services, and tires. Approval of this item shall also serve as delegation of authority for the Executive Director to approve all future amendments to these agreements, if any.
If approved by the Board, Agreements will be executed between the Water Authority and these Vendors to provide as needed tires, parts, and services.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$230,000.00 excluding NM GRT for the first year of the initial four-year term for which appropriations have already been made.
Approval of this item shall also serve as delegation of authority for the Executive Director to approve all future amendments to this contract, if any.
